Paul's Homemade Pasta
A rainy weekend in Southern California can only mean one thing. Our SUV's and 4-wheel drives can't handle the slick roads. So of course we aren't leaving the house and need something to take up any down time between football games. A classic Paul solution - homemade pasta - made once every 5 years when we remember how easy it is. My Italian mother despises the process citing "flour in her sink" as a reason to avoid the kitchen until dinner time. Meanwhile my "Spanish" ( wink

It's Me, Again!
Bonjour, Hello, Ciao! It's getting to be a yearly thing, where I just ghost you all, drop a singular post with vague life details and promise to write more. Well, if you can't tell with this blog's recent face lift - I actually mean it this time! Pinky promise! I even have drafts ready to go. A big thank you to my loyal few, who've kept encouraging me to update this with whatever I have going on, and apparently enjoy reading my brief and boring updates every 11 months. I'm ba

Happy 2025!
Monaco, baby! Coming to you live from the Denver airport on my way back to France! I know there's probably something deep I could write about flying from my first college town to my current one but I've only had a single glass of wine, so nothing about that now! I know, I know! Every post I seem to be promising more updates and here we are in 2025 with approximately 2.5 to show for the last 3 years. But! 2025 has made me a changed woman. I'm growing ever closer to my quarter

New Year's Resolutions? As if.
In the past, I've hated this question, the concept of resolutions as a whole.

Home For the Holidays
There's something new about being home after college. For me, at least, coming home every year, I felt more and more distanced from my hometown. My favorite places stayed the same, but I didn't. It's taken me a few years to get used to that. To get used to the feeling of running into some people from high school. That weird feeling can quickly become fear. We can quickly resort back to our 16/17-year-old selves, who are awkward or nervous. It's so easy to slip back into what'
